Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Sudokune collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the Sudokune mobile app and this website.

Playing without an account

Sudokune is playable as a guest. In guest mode, your puzzles, progress, settings, and statistics are stored only on your device. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see them.

Progress on your device is not carried into an account. If you sign in or create one, the experience points, level, and achievements on your device are deleted — you are asked to confirm first — and you see the account's own progress instead. Puzzles you have in progress stay on your device.

What we collect when you have an account

Account details

• Your email address, so you can sign in and recover your account.
• Your sign-in method. If you sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity to us and provides your email address and an account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
• A display name, if you set one. It is visible only to you.

Your progress

• Experience points, level, and achievements earned.
• The date you joined.

Completed puzzles

For each puzzle you finish, we record:

• The difficulty.
• How long it took.
• How many mistakes were made.
• When it was completed.

We do not record the puzzle itself, your individual moves, or anything about how you solved it.

What is public

Nothing. Sudokune has no leaderboards and no other way for players to see each other. Your email, display name, progress, and puzzle history are visible only to you.

What we do not collect

• No analytics or usage tracking. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, and no telemetry in the app.
• No advertising. No ads, no ad networks, no advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking.
• No location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. The app does not ask for these and cannot access them.
• No payment details. Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We are told whether you have purchased; we never see your card or billing information.

Who your data is shared with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Your data is handled by two service providers, only as needed to run the app:

• Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in. Your account and progress are stored there.
• Google Play processes purchases, and handles sign-in if you choose Google.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect the service and its players from abuse.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account:

• Your profile, progress, and achievements are deleted.
• Your completed-puzzle records are kept but permanently disconnected from you. They no longer reference your account and cannot be traced back to it, so what remains is an anonymous record that a puzzle of some difficulty was solved in some time.

Your choices and rights

• Play anonymously. You can use Sudokune without an account indefinitely.
• Get a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.
• Delete your account and data.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data, including the right to object to processing or to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise any of these, email hello@infinitesource.agency.

Children

Sudokune is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access rules that restrict each account's data to that account. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be signalled in the app.
